Yemeni Pres Saleh Urges Arab States to Attack Israel
al MotamarPresident proposes a Yemeni project for Arab States Union to Kuwait summit Tuesday, 20-January-2009 Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh presented Monday to the leaders of the Arab countries attending the Arab Summit ‘ summit of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza’ presently held in Kuwait a project prepared by Yemen for the establishment of Arab States Union. In his address delivered at the evening session of the summit, President Saleh said,” Yemen has put forward this project for the establishment of Arab States Union out of its realization that the variables and challenges the Arab homeland in confronted with dictate on all to work for changing the system of the joint Arab action in the light the international and regional recent developments.” President Saleh made it clear that the establishment of this union would guarantee the achievement of the political, economic, social, development, cultural, security and defensive integration among the member states in the manner serving Arab nation’s security and interests. He maintained,” We have economic, human, and military potentials that enable us to defend our ideology, homelands and our Arab and Islamic identity and preserve our rights and dignity.”The President stressed the importance that the Kuwait summit comes out with resolutions translating expectations and aspirations of the Arab nation, enhancing unity of the Arab rank and s0olidarity and to live to the challenges the nation is facing, confirming that the current circumstances and developments dictate on all to abandon differences and look forward to better Arab future. The President said, “ We hope this summit to be a historic one , decisive and successful with what resolutions of destiny that would be issued regarding the political and economic issues on its agenda , especially that it is held under very significant and complicated circumstances concerning what the Palestinian people in Gaza have come under of barbaric aggression and savage massacres committed by the Zionist entity where souls are killed and bodies of children, women and elderly people are torn into pieces under an international silence , Arab deteriorated situation and dangerous Arab divisions which the Zionist entity was able to invest and take advantage of , whether in continuing its aggression or by dealing a blow to every initiative for reviving the aspired for Arab solidarity. “ “The Zionist entity managed to foil the Arab solidarity and tearing the Palestinian unity under support of some forces that remained to support it, “the President added. President Saleh said,” Our national and pan-Arab responsibility imposes on us to work with ways and means for rescuing the Arab situation from its present condition and to adopt courageous stands compelling the Zionist entity to stop its aggression, to break its arrogance and to abide by the will of right, justice and heavenly laws and the international legitimacy. Our summit should adopt effective resolutions putting an end to the tyrannous war Israel launches on the defenceless of the sons of our Palestinian people in Gaza and rather against the entire Arab nation.” The President expressed his hope that the summit would adopt the following resolutions:-Immediate and all-out withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza Strip,-Opening all crossings. -Forcing the Zionist entity to compensate the Palestinian people for all that was inflicted on them because of holocaust it has committed in Gaza against the innocent of children, women and elderly people and the destruction of houses, public and private installations and the infrastructure. -Sending the Zionist leaders responsible for the neo-Nazis Zionist manslaughter and massacres perpetrated against the Palestinian people to prosecution. -Demanding the international community for imposing economic and, military blockade on Israel until it abides by resolutions of international legitimacy, -Investment of relations of Arab countries, especially with the permanent member states at the UN Security Council. President Saleh stressed the necessity of taking a united Arab stand to face obstinacy of the Zionist entity in case it did not respond to these demands and that the Arab states should not continue asking the Palestinian people for steadfastness until the last child and woman and elderly people at the time leaders and sons of the nation are spectators in their countries. President Saleh added that ,”Arrogance of the Zionist enemy and its non-response to options of peace and commitment to implement resolutions of the international legitimacy oblige us to activate the agreement of Arab joint defence as a last option facing the Zionist obstinacy in order to preserve dignity of the Arab nation , its destinies , present and future.” President Saleh also called on the Fatah and Hamas movements and other Palestinian factions to commit themselves to the agreements signed by them so that to guarantee unity of the Palestinian rank , enhancement of the Palestinian national unity and formation of a national accord government from al Palestinian forces working for preparation for presidential and parliamentary elections and building national security apparatuses following constitutional legitimacy far from partisan and factional ways and that should be under patronage of Egypt, Syria and Turkey.
